The project has been implementing with the support of Oxfam in Bangladesh from the 01 September 2022 with the key objective of Domestic workers’ are enjoying better livelihood with dignity and justice in participating targeted working area of Saishabari and Jamalpur Sadar with the total 600 direct beneficiaries under Jamalpur District in Bangladesh. The project will be ended 30 August 202. Unnayan Sangha as per work plan conducted different initiatives for the domestic worker as sensitizing the people/ house owner about their rights and entitlement, dignity and importance contribution of the domestic worker at household level.

As per proposal US wants to achieve these:

• – Increased wages at optimum level and maintain standard working hour of domestic worker in their work place
• – Ensure a process to make gender responsive individual and family by practicing men care approach
• – Established a platform in the community and built unity to raise their voice and demand and increased bargaining capacity with the employer as well as service providers
• – Increased knowledge and awareness by ensuring available information
• – Pressure group established and started advocacy for update and implement different policy and rules
• – Collective effort to encouraged effective implementation of law and policy at local level and reduced violence against women and empowerment.
