Unnayan Sangha is familiar with the community people, local administration, line departments, local government, civil society and other stakeholders of Jamalpur and Sherpur District as a development organization.

Who we are

In 1980, The Unnayan Sangha was born in Jamalpur district with the sincere desire of agriculturist Late Shamsul Huda and some other like-minded people to establish the rights of the poor people by the side of the people in need. Since its inception, US have been constantly fighting for the establishment of human rights. US have taken and continue to take timely steps for the development of women, children, the disabled and the vulnerable community. Today, Unnayan Sangha is working directly with about 3 million people in 30 Upazilas of 11 districts of Bangladesh. In this long journey, US has been working in almost whole area of Jamalpur, Sherpur and Mymensigh district under Mymensingh division for the last 41 years. During the period it has worked with many national and international development partners and donors successfully and implemented development, humanitarian and emergency response projects and effectively contributed to change the life and livelihood of thousands of households.

Together with partners at all levels, we transform markets and policies toward sustainability, tackle the threats driving the climate crisis, and protect and restore wildlife and their habitats.
