Integrated health & community development program (IHCDP)

The program started in 1993 with the support of DFID through Partners in Health and Development (PHD) formerly Bangladesh Population and Health Consortium (BPHC). It has implemented for 12 years from 1993 to 2004 in Sherpur district. The program activities (Minimized) are going on by the staff of our Socioeconomic Program presently after abolish of BPHC. The program related with the HPSP/HNPSP of the government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The major activities are –

  • – Reproductive health services including family planning, HIV/AIDS and adolescents health.
  • – Child health services including immunization, growth monitoring, treatment etc.
  • – Communicable disease control.
  • – Limited curative care
  • – Referral for better treatment/services
  • – Behavior change communication through mass/group/courtyard meeting, day observation, drama, folksong, rally, displaying posters and billboards.
  • – Motivation on alternative nutritious foods/HIV?AIDS prevention
  • – Training on health-nutrition, water-sanitation, family planning and disaster preparedness
  • – GO-NGO collaboration activities like meeting, training/workshop/seminar
